Off-White™ c/o Victorinox Limited Edition

Meet a future design icon: The Off-White™ c/o Victorinox, a fusion of bold creativity and pioneering energy. This is a directional co-created limited edition pocket knife born out of a passion for outstanding design. On-point in its aesthetic DNA, yet functionally flawless, the idea at its core evolves around “Adam and Eve, Androgyny, The Beginning” and – based on that – around constructing multi-dimensional safe zones for human survival with garments, tools, and spaces. It’s equipment, done different. Join a story of discovery.

The production process

The silhouette of all the integrated single tools can be positioned to resemble the collaboration design motif, a fig leaf, alluding to the story of Adam and Eve and the concept of new beginnings. The design of the blades is representative of stones that have evolved into tools, and the rounded edges protrude to reflect this. Seven new shaping tools have been created, spanning six functions and one spring to house the directional tools with a unique look.

The material

Corian® is a solid surface material composed of a mixture of acrylic resin and natural minerals. It is renowned for its hardwearing credentials and is often used in high quality interior design. The natural minerals form two-thirds of its composition and are derived from bauxite – an ore – from which aluminum is extracted. Bauxite is a sedimentary rock rich in aluminum. Using it in a Swiss Army Knife marks a bold, visionary step that Victorinox and Off-White™ are delighted to take together. Crafting the scales in Corian delivers a cool, matte, scratch-resistant surface. On an aesthetic level, it looks like natural stone. White-clad offset by a graphic black print, it’s as standout as it is solidly engineered.
